FAQs
Why should I try your single estate, micro-batch chocolate?
We make chocolate in small batches so we can focus on quality — not quantity.
From fermentation to roasting, we fine-tune each step to bring out a bean’s best flavor.
Our process takes over a week using slow, traditional methods (vs. just 2 hours for other chocolate makers). It also lets us avoid controversial ingredients like lecithin.
The result: bold, flavorful chocolate with real depth and complexity — and no shortcuts.
What’s the difference between single estate and single origin?
“Single origin” can refer to a broad area like “Philippines” or “Mindanao,” often with beans from different farms blended together.
We focus on single estate cacao — meaning all beans come from one specific farm or coop with good practices, no pesticides, and proper fermentation and drying.
This keeps the flavors pure and lets us showcase the farmer’s hard work — without blending it away. Even neighboring farms can have very different farming practices.
How is your chocolate different from what I usually see in stores?
It's ,made of different grade beans and is made differently.
We go the extra mile at every step — from sourcing and harvesting to fermentation, hand-sorting, roasting, and conching. This care brings out vivid, distinct flavors.
Each origin has its own personality.
We don’t use fillers, preservatives, additives, flavorings, or even vanilla — which is often added to hide off-flavors.
It’s simplicity done perfectly, with nowhere for bad flavors to hide.
Our single estates are distinctly vivid and flavorful — even compared to other craft chocolate brands.
What does “bean-to-bar” mean?
It means we make our chocolate from scratch — starting with the cacao bean.
We roast, grind, refine, temper, and mold everything ourselves.
No pre-made couverture. No buying other chocolate and remelting it. No shortcuts. Just real chocolate slowly crafted.

🌿 Ingredients & Diet
Are your chocolates vegan?
Yes — our dark chocolates are made with just two ingredients: cacao and sugar.
I’m cutting out sugar. Can I still eat your chocolate?
Most of our bars contain some sugar, so if you're cutting it out completely, they may not be for you.
But we use significantly less sugar than commercial chocolates and since our chocolate are so vivid and flavorful you'll be satisfied with eating much less.
❄️ Storage & Shelf Life
How should I store chocolate?
Keep it sealed in a cool, dry, dark place — ideally between 14°C and 22°C.
If you’ve opened a bar, store it in an airtight container or zip-lock bag.
Refrigeration is fine, but avoid odors — and let the bar come to room temp before eating.
How long does it last?
Up to 12 to 18 months when stored properly.
We don’t use preservatives, so proper storage is key.
✈️ Travel & Chocolate Care
Can I bring chocolate on a plane?
Yes hand carry or check in is fine. if you're travelling to a hot country dm us to request insulation.
Why are there white streaks or dots on my chocolate is this mold?
That’s called bloom — either from cocoa butter or sugar separating due to heat or moisture. It’s purely cosmetic and totally safe to eat. You can also melt it down for hot chocolate. if you see a hairy or fussy mold that is when it is not safe to eat which is unlikely since most of the chocolate you get from us are freshly roasted
